Maker + Mind
Maker & Mind is a creative studio hosting a workshop space, local makers' gallery and small supplies shop for the sustainably minded. Since opening in May 2026, it's become a home for slow stitching sessions and family craft afternoons, for exceptional local artists selling their work on consignment, and for anyone hunting for a vintage fabric bundle or just the right sewing needle for the job.
Owner Connie built the studio on a simple conviction: that awe surrounds us, art connects us, and everyone deserves access to the benefits of making. That's the starting point for every workshop. Maker + Mind promotes process rather than product, with room to be a beginner, room to get it wrong, and no pressure to leave with something Instagram-ready. Whether you're threading a needle for the first time or you've been quietly making for decades, the research proves it; making things genuinely lowers stress and lifts your mood regardless.
