Service Description

A slow stitching session that explores couching and mirror-work; two techniques for attaching unusual materials, found objects, and embellishments to textile. All materials and tools are provided, but feel free to bring along your own found objects that you could incorporate. No experience needed, and no finished outcome expected. This is a session for making slowly, noticing, and seeing what emerges.

Booking Policy

1. Booking & Payment Bookings are confirmed on receipt of full payment. A confirmation email will be sent within 48 hours. Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. 2. Cancellation by the Student Up to 48 hours before the class: full refund Under 48 hours: non-refundable You may transfer your place to another person at any time but please notify us in advance, as they will need to complete a booking form. No refunds for non-attendance on the day. 3. Cancellation or Changes by Us If we cancel due to insufficient numbers, a full refund will be issued within 5 working days. If a workshop is postponed due to circumstances beyond our control, we will offer an alternative date or full refund. 4. What's Included All materials and equipment required for the workshop, and light refreshments (tea, coffee, biscuits). Please advise us of dietary requirements in advance. 5. Conduct & Safety Please treat the studio, equipment, and fellow participants with respect. Sharp tools are used; follow tutor guidance at all times. The studio is not suitable for children under 16 unless a parent or guardian is present and booked in. We reserve the right to remove anyone behaving unsafely or disruptively, without refund. 6. Health & Accessibility Please inform us of any health conditions or accessibility requirements at booking. Hand Sewing involves fine hand movements for extended periods, if you have concerns about hand, wrist, or arm conditions, please consult your GP beforehand. Contact us if you have specific access needs. 7. Photography We may photograph sessions for our website and social media. Let us know at the start if you'd prefer not to be included. You're welcome to photograph your own work and tag us @maker.and.mind. 8. Liability We accept no liability for loss or damage to personal belongings. Our liability for any claim is limited to the value of the booking fee paid. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. 9. Data & Privacy Your personal information is used only to manage your booking. We will not share your data or use it for marketing without your consent.
